Trusts & Estates
I handle both the planning and the disputes that can arise around trusts. Whether you’re looking to create a trust, adjust an existing one, or simply understand how yours works, my approach always starts with deep analysis. I want you to see the full arc of the process — not just the next step. I provide clear decision trees so you can weigh your options and move forward with confidence. This kind of clarity matters, especially for clients with modest estates who still deserve careful attention.
I also represent clients in trust litigation. That includes beneficiaries who are being kept in the dark, or trustees who need guidance to fulfill their duties properly. In these cases, I move quickly to identify leverage, clarify the issues, and, when necessary, litigate to protect my client’s rights. My goal is always the same: to give you clarity, protect your interests, and resolve matters in a way that makes sense for your life.
Litigation
I represent clients in civil litigation in both state and federal court. My experience covers property disputes, tort claims (including smaller fraud cases), and contract disputes. I don’t handle family law, but most other civil cases are within my scope.
I’m especially committed to clients whose cases are too small for traditional firms but still deserve serious attention. If you’ve been told your case “isn’t worth it” or have been pushed toward attorneys who don’t provide quality work, I take the opposite approach. I’ll look closely at the merits, give you clear options, and pursue a strategy that makes sense for the scale of your case.
Litigation is not about spinning wheels — it’s about identifying leverage points, making precise moves, and putting the client in the best possible position. Whether your matter is big or small, my focus is on clarity, rigor, and results.
Business & Transactions
I help clients with the kinds of deals that matter in real life: buying or selling a small business, negotiating a commercial lease, or putting agreements in writing when money and trust are on the line.
Sometimes that means stepping in when friends are working out a sale and making sure everything is clear and enforceable. Other times it’s about reviewing or drafting a lease so you know exactly what you’re signing. I see my role as guiding the process, spotting the risks, and giving you a clean path forward so you can focus on running your business.
Whether you’re purchasing a studio, negotiating a lease for your shop, or just want your agreements documented properly, I bring the same attention to detail I use in court to make sure your transaction is sound.
General Counsel for Real People
Not every problem fits neatly into a category. I often work with clients who just need a lawyer to take a close look, explain their options, and point them in the right direction. Sometimes that means reviewing a contract, advising on how to deal with a city council process, or helping someone understand the risks before they make a big decision.
Because I’ve clerked in the largest trial court in the country and litigated in state and federal courts, I bring a wide perspective to whatever comes across my desk. I don’t promise to take every case, but if I can’t help directly, I’ll make sure you walk away with a clearer sense of where you stand.
